Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
Somiphy wants this website to work for everyone — including people with disabilities. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We also comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Conformance Status
This site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to close any gaps. Areas currently under review include:
- Colour contrast across all sections and interactive states
- Keyboard navigation and focus management
- Screen reader support for decorative and interactive elements
- ARIA roles and labels for custom UI components
Accessibility Features
This website includes the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML: Proper heading order (H1 → H2 → H3), landmark elements, and list structures.
- Keyboard navigation: All links, buttons, and form fields work with a keyboard alone.
- Skip links: The site supports skip-to-content navigation patterns.
- Language declaration: The page language is set to English (Canadian) for screen readers.
- ARIA labels: Key regions and interactive elements have descriptive ARIA labels.
- Visible focus indicators: Keyboard users see clear focus rings on interactive elements.
- Responsive design: The site works across screen sizes and at up to 200% browser zoom.
- Form labels: All form fields have clear labels and placeholder text.
- Colour is not the only indicator: Important information is never shown by colour alone.
Known Limitations
We are working to improve these areas:
- Some animations do not yet have a reduced-motion option.
- Some decorative graphics may need better screen reader labels.
- Form success and error messages could be improved for screen readers.
We are fixing these as the site develops. If you find a barrier, please contact us directly.

This site is built to work with:
- Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Browser zoom up to 200%
- High contrast mode
